I write essays and articles on literature and the self, self-care, freelancing, pop culture, and politics and current events. I also review for Shelf Awareness and BookBrowse, and am available for copy editing and proofreading projects.
I have previously worked for hyperlocal newspaper The Valley Courier, covering Essex, Chester, and Deep River, Connecticut, and its online outlet Zip06.com. During my tenure as a staff writer I won a CT Society of Professional Journalists award for diversity coverage for reporting on the legacy of the slave trade in the local community.
